Tanner's LEGO-cy

Please choose a charity that you are interested in. You may choose your own or use one from our list (below). Read about the charity. On your blog, write a short explanation of what the charity does.
A charity is a group of people that make money or donate things to people that need it. It is for people who don't have much money. My charity helps young children who want LEGO but their parents don't have much money to buy it for them. I like my charity because all kids need LEGO. It is good for your imagination.

Wow - amazing job on this activity!! Your posts have been so awesome to read and I hope you're enjoying the Summer Learning Journey so far. Your posts have been very creative and I can't wait to see what else you come up with!

You've chosen such a great charity to write about. What an awesome idea - to donate LEGO that you no longer want or need to a child that might not have toys. That sounds like a great charity to support. Do you enjoy playing with LEGO? I do, I'm just not very good at making things! What can you make?

I love the images you've included, and I especially like the name 'Tanner's LEGO-cy', that is very clever!

Keep up the great work :)

  2. Kia ora Tanner,

My name is Laura and I work for the Summer Learning Journey, like Tayla.

This is a fantastic idea! Does this charity already exist, or is it an idea you came up with? I agree with you, that all kids need to have a chance to play with LEGO. There are so many amazing and creative things you can do with it aren't there?

When I was little, my Dad gave me a set called Meccano - it was his from when he was a little boy. Meccano is a little bit like LEGO - you can build things with it. I loved it!

I hope you have a great time blogging over summer!

    Best wishes,
    Laura

    1. Hi Laura, I came up with this ideas. I don't think it is real. I like to make lots of things. I have a LEGO Ninjago Base that I'm building at the moment. That Meccano sounds fun. I will look up photos to see what it is.
