Celebrating special events

Week 4: Day 1: Turn of the Century (2000-2010)

How do we celebrate special events.

In my family when we have our birthday we get to choose what we want to do and what cake we get.

For my 8th birthday in November I want to go camping and have a cookies and cream cheesecake.

  1. Kia Ora Tanner,

It’s great to see you are back blogging after your trip to Auckland with your nana. How was it?

That’s awesome that you get to pick what you want to do and eat for your birthday. I remember I was always allowed to pick what I had for breakfast, lunch and dinner on my birthday. I loved it! A cookies and cream cheesecake sounds really yummy! Who normally makes the birthday cakes in your house?

Mum used to always make ours but now I have moved out of home I always like making birthday cakes for all my friends. I love it when they challenge me to make a different type of cake that I haven’t made before! What kind of cake did you have for your 7th birthday?

    Keep up the great work!

  2. Hi Dani,
Auckland was really good. I bought a remote control car from Harvey Norman and played with it for hours. My Mum makes my birthday cakes. For my 7th birthday I had white chocolate mess cake. Do you how to out a photo in the comments? I wanted to show you.

  3. Good Morning Tanner,

Wow that sounds like a yummy cake! You could put the photo up as a post. Otherwise if you upload the photo onto Google Drive, you can then share a link of it in the comments.
I hope the weather isn't too bad up there at the moment! I know here in Auckland we have rain forecasted for the whole weekend :(
