White Bait Fritters Title Page

This week we have been reading a book called Whitebait Fritters. We had to do an activity I found it a bit hard because I didn't no what to think of. I also found it a bit easy because I chose the right images.

Week Two Activities

Hi,
Tanner here again. I have been super busy since Christmas. I stayed with my Poppa for three days and went fishing - he catches crayfish. We had a big family day for Christmas then we went to Tokerau Beach to ride our quad bikes on Boxing Day. I stayed with my other Nana and Poppa for three days and built traps for fish and rabbits. I haven't had a chance to go on my computer as I have been kept very busy. But, here is four activities from week 2 that I have been working on. I hope to do week 3 and 4 next week. The holidays should quiet down a little now. I hope you enjoy and you are having a great summer.

The Man on the Moon

For this activity, let’s imagine that you were Neil Armstrong.
On your blog, write a short poem describing how you felt when you first set
foot on the moon.

On the Moon!
Cruising in my little spaceship,
I felt a little dip.
Woah, what just happened out there,
I think we are nearly here.
I quickly land,
It looks like sand.
I am scared, what is outside,
I open the door and I glide.
I lower down,
And place my shoes on the ground.
Looks like powder on my boots,
This is going to be such a hoot.
I better get a photo on my new iphone,
Before I head home.
Click, Click, Click.
Off I go back to the beautiful cloudy world.

Brave Tanner

On your blog, recount a time when you (or someone you know) did something brave.

A recount about a time when I was brave!

A couple years ago when I was six I was riding my quad bike and I drove into the rocks and the motorbike flipped on top of me. I had to go to Kawakawa hospital to stitch my lip because I had a big cut. It was so sore. When I got home I didn't want to ride the bike anymore. But after a while I was BRAVE and I got back on, And now I never like to get off. I learnt a lesson it was to be careful on motorbikes and don't go too fast on gravel and hills.

That is a time I have been BRAVE.
